West Indies

The hosts team management decided against tinkering with the team for the second game but have the services of Jason Mohammad to call upon for middle-order reinforcement.

The hosts have concerns in the middle order with both Powell and Lendl Simmons unable to find their feet. Simmons has aggregated only 21 runs in his last five innings, while leg spin continues to be Powell’s bug bear.

Sarfraz Ahmed brought in left-handed batsman Fakhar Zaman in the second T20I at Mohammad Hafeez’s expense but the debutant fell early in a bid to up the scoring rate.

Being a southpaw in a line-up filled with right-handed batsmen adds to the team’s variety and the management are likely to persist with him for another game.

Hafeez though can find a way back at the top of the order in place of Akmal, should the team see the need for an additional spinner in the line-up.

Shehzad suffered a nasty collision in the last game but returned to field not too long after and appeared in no discomfort. He should hold on to his place.
